Hamburg hotel industry joins forces for more major events

The Hamburg Convention Bureau (HCB) and other players in the city – partners from the Hamburg hotel industry, Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH and local Professional Congress Organizers (PCOs) – have reached an agreement to facilitate the acquisition of B2B congresses and events for Hamburg as a destination. The main aim is to be able to act faster and more resource-efficiently and to avoid multiple loops with partners when it comes to applications and inquiries for congresses and B2B events.

The agreement relates exclusively to fixed room contingents and concerns congresses and B2B events – applications / inquiries with a requirement of 800 to 5,000 rooms. Under this agreement, a certain number of rooms (as a percentage of the hotel’s total capacity) will be made available for inquiries and pitches – up to 18 months before the event date.
