Latest information on the Corona pandemic

Since Saturday, 30 April 2022, almost all restrictions of the Corona Containment Regulation in Hamburg have been lifted. The obligation to wear masks indoors and the 2G+ access controls at events or dancing events also cease to apply. Likewise, there are no longer any capacity limitations for events.

The following still applies: Obligation to wear a mask in local public transport. In means of public transport according to § 2 section 3, passengers and other users are obliged to wear an FFP2 mask according to § 3 of the current ordinance; this does not apply in open areas of the means of transport.

The following still applies: Obligation to isolate in the case of a positive test. Anyone who has a positive rapid test must isolate themselves and have a PCR test carried out. If the infection is confirmed after a laboratory result, isolation at home must be started on one’s own – even without further orders from the health authority. Infected persons must remain in isolation for ten days. If a new test is negative after seven days, the isolation can be ended prematurely.
