Hamburg is the number one in Europe for China
Hamburg Harbor is the bridge between Europe and the Far East. For China, Hamburg is the gateway to Europe, and Hamburg Harbor the most important European port of them all. Inversely, China is Hamburg Harbor's biggest customer and a key partner to Hamburg. In other words, it is a partnership where giving and taking is as harmonious as yin and yang.
Beyond the port, Hamburg, as the base of the Chinese business community, also offers ideal conditions for Chinese companies, and is one reason why the number of Chinese firms based here is particularly high. In fact, over 400 Chinese companies have offices in the city – more than in any other European metropolis. The services on offer for these companies and the more than 10,000 people of Chinese origin who live in the city are equally diverse. Whether logistics companies, food stores, restaurants, interpreting and translation agencies, tax advisors and legal practices – Chinese is the lingua franca. And in the Chinese Linghan School, German too of course.
